All Smiles

Eyes wide open, smiles and an overwhelming joy for life is how I believe children view the world. To them being held by their father or mother is the most wonderful comfort they can imagine. The sweet smell of their parents, the gentle brush of wind against their young skin and the ability to see the world as pure and innocent are all abilities they obtain. This little boys love for his parents and their love for him was clear from the beginning. His face would light up when he they touched him and his tears would subside when they comforted him.

The whole family

Ethan is one of my FAVORITE little boys to photograph. From our first introduction at 3 months old to his current 18 month photo shoot I truly consider myself blessed to document his life and to get to know his wonderful parents and family!! Since Ethan has been a staple in my portfolio it only felt right to introduce everyone to his whole family!! Thanks Jill and Rob for being such great parents to such an amazing little boy and also letting me into your lives!!

There are moments in our lives when we feel like we have the world on our shoulders. As if the dreams we once had are distant stars from the planet we now reside. However, it is during those thoughts when pictures like these remove all doubt, stress or tension. The smiles of these 3 little girls and their older brother are of pure innocence and love. Their parents true devotion to their happiness and well being comes through with every giggle and many swipes of the mouth for grass a leaves!

Turning 1

Why is it that the world we remember as children is not as beautiful then what we see through the eyes of our own children? For some reason, at least to me, it seems seeing it with them, through them, is so much better, more vivid. Jackson's first birthday was just such an occasion. From the Superman outfit to the icing on the face and everywhere else Jackson's first birthday is a day his parents, nor grandparents, will ever forget!! Happy Birthday Jackson!!!! You are a blessed little boy to have so much love around you!!! Yvonne

family as friends

I met a loving and wonderful group of generations this past weekend. They were all freshly drudged out of bed at a time that I am sure was drastically earlier then the hour we met. Though a Saturday, the gift the family was creating was well worth the effort. Their playful banter, their gentleness with the newest amongst them and the loving eyes of their families were all blessings these cousins shared. I am sure they will be able to recollect their "early morning" photo shoot for many years to come!!

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.

growing

A smile, that no matter how much he grows, never changes. A look, that does not falter from his emotions. Ethan has the ability, no matter the amount of months that pass each time I see him, to wear his passion for the world on his sleeve. He explores the world for new curiosities and finds the simple pleasures in life to be the most intriguing. How blissful to be Ethan!! To see the world as it should be, full of love and happiness, in the eyes of his parents. I am so very blessed to have met Ethan and his family!!! I hope to share his story for years to come.

time

WOW!!! Has it been awhile!! Life has taken on heck of a turn for me these past few months. I can not even keep up!! There are many things in this life that change us. A book. A person. A moment. A memory. I can close my eyes at this very moment and breath in the scent of memories that make me smile. It is the fragrence of the past and the hint of passion for the future that should make the present all that more important to us all. I can close my eyes and remember my own baby shower and looking to Dane's mom knowing that he was on his way. Now, almost 2, he has filled his family's memories with the scent of joy and love!!!

moments

Well, Dawn, you went and did it. You found a man who would smile at your hummmmm's and would venture into that mystifying brain of yours. I believe that moments between lovers are best witnessed amongst unseen eyes. They are the moments when the voice of the heart speaks through every beat. Thank-you for letting me share in your journey as you have shared in mine. You are truly a sister to me and I hope to be an honored witness to the growth of your soon to be family. Love Always...Yvonne

motor boat

his bubbly personality, eyes that melt any mothers heart and a smile that his mother created are the blessings that are Ethan. I can only hope that his parents will continue to have me share in his story. He is a sprawling little man who is into everything, has learned to make motor boat nosies with his lips and is excited about all he encounters. His mother glows at the sight of him and his touch to her is the deepest breath she could ever imagine taking. Happy 9 months with many more to come...

generations

The stories of time told by our families are the threads of our own quilts. They are the stories and memories that shape the progressive development of not only our lives but those of our children's. Jackson is blessed in that his quilt has begun its patch work with the stitching hands of 3 generations of mothers. His great grandmother, grandmother and mother embrace his every glance. His fathers warmth and security are his soothing patches. His dimple filled smiles show the love he has from his family. Everyone meet Jackson....

a blade of grass

With all that is going on in the world from presidential to economical it is easy to forget those simple moments. Those moments that take us full circle and remind us on what we should focus. Leo was just such a moment. I met him on a milestone, his 1st Birthday. A moment he will never remember, but all in his family will never forget. I was blessed to be a part of not only his birthday, but the first time he felt the slight tickle of grass on his youthful skin. The look on his face after his fingers, legs and arms were brushed by the sea of green surrounding him was pure. A simple blade of grass had been so complex that very moment. Everyone, meet Leo...happy birthday!!!!
